Cathay Pacific has one of the best and most luxurious Business Class products among all of the airlines. Cathay Pacific also offers free first class lounge admission and there are awesome business class luxuries as well.

A family of 4 can fly to Vancouver completely free using points! I know, because we did and our experience was amazing! We flew From NYC JFK to beautiful Vancouver on Cathay Pacific business class – one way at 30,000 points each ticket.

One of the best parts of the trip was experiencing the Cathay Pacific Business/First Class Lounge. It is actually the British Airways Lounge that offers use to Cathay Pacific travelers as well.

My family and I arrived at the airport early, as we weren't sure if there would be traffic, or how long TSA would take during check-in/boarding. We ended up breezing through both traffic and TSA without any delays. So, we had about an hour to hang out until our flight departure.

Of course, the kids were hungry, so we were pleasantly surprised with the large variety of snacks and drinks available (all for free!) in our snack bags in the lounge. This included snacks along with a great drink selection such as sodas, juices and more. There is even alcohol available if you prefer that before your flight.

They had a lot of different meal options to choose from including quick grab and go options and hot food equipped with real cutlery and plates (not just plastic or to go options that are often even in some "high-end" airport lounges). Everything looked really appetizing and well-prepared. Overall, there is certainly a wow factor throughout this particular lounge.

We grabbed our pre-boarding snacks and headed to the lounge seating area that was fully equipped with comfortable chairs and space along with plenty of outlets to charge your devices. Also, it was very quiet, not a lot of people, this may have had to do with our flight time being around 8:30pm/9:00pm. I expect if a large British Airways flight comes in, there will be crowds.

The staff in the lounge was very friendly as well. Entering the lounge was seamless, they checked our IDs and were happy to point us to the various features available to us.

Now, onto the flight...

It was just a dream! The flight attendants were very accommodating. They made you feel comfortable, especially to ask any questions. They served champagne, and will literally "tuck you in" to your seat accommodations! They were just exceptional and I would have to say that their service throughout the entire flight was absolutely fantastic.

Overall, the lounge was a solid 9 on a scale of 1 - 10. Yes, it is really that good and the experience on board was outstanding as well. It is one thing to be able to fly for free using points, but to have the overall experience before boarding and during the flight exceed expectations was just plain wonderful!
